Burglary with violence incidents in Keperra, QLD

Police have released an image of a man who may be able to assist with inquires in relation to two burglary with violence incidents that occurred in Keperra on February 20., Queensland Police say

It will be alleged that around 1.15am, two men entered a Madsen Street address and demanded money from a 49-year-old male occupant.

It is further alleged the two men then struck the 49-year-old a number of times with an unknown object before fleeing on foot.

The 49-year-old man sustained minor injuries and was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital for treatment.

Around 1.45am, police further allege the same two men attended a Nolan Street address and forced entry through the back door, pushing the 30-year-old male occupant over in the process.

One of the men then allegedly became involved in a physical altercation with the occupant, resulting in the 30-year-old man sustaining a minor stab wound to the abdomen.

The 30-year-old occupant was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital for treatment.

Detectives from Ferny Grove Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) have since arrested an 18-year-old Keperra man over the alleged incidents.

He was charged with a number of offences including enter with intent, attempted robbery, common assault, wounding, wilful damage and public nuisance. He has been remanded in custody and is due to reappear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on March 20.

Detectives believe the below-pictured man may be able to assist with their inquiries into these two incidents.

He is described as African in appearance, 170cm tall with a proportionate build, black hair and brown eyes.

Investigations are continuing.
