Burns Point Ferry Annual Maintenance From 18 October

The Burns Point Ferry will be closed for annual maintenance works from Saturday 18 October for approximately four weeks.

The ferry crossing will be closed to customers from 12.30am Saturday 18 October. Road users are advised to use the alternate route of the Pacific Highway and River Drive, Wardell.

During this period, structural, mechanical, and electrical maintenance repairs will be carried out along with major safety upgrades. The vessel's hull will also be repainted.

The ferry's return to service will depend on progression through the works program and weather conditions.

If the ferry's return to service is delayed, Council will notify road users through local media, social media and Council's website.

Routine monthly maintenance is also planned for Tuesday 9 December from 9am – 1pm.
