Bus Driver Assault at Wishart, QLD

Police investigating the assault of a bus driver at Wishart on January 15 have released images of a male who they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries, Queensland Police say.

Around 4.30pm a young male attempted to board a bus near the intersection of Ham Road and Mount Gravatt Capalaba Road with approximately eight other people whilst actively avoiding fare payment.

When questioned, the male became aggressive, spitting on the driver.

The male and the group then left the bus, walking east on Mount Gravatt Capalaba Road.

The 35-year-old male bus driver was not injured.

The male is described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 15-years-old, of slim build and 175cm tall. He was wearing a black baseball cap, black t-shirt with Nike on the front and dark coloured shorts with a white stripe on the leg.

Anyone that may have witnessed the incident or knows the identity of the male, is asked to contact police.
