About 100 people are safely sheltering at the O'Reilly Guest House following an earlier warning to leave the area due to a bush fire impacting on road access.
The group includes police, guests and staff who have been unable to leave the area by road.
Authorities remain in contact with the group and are confident they are in no immediate danger.
Plans are being enacted to ensure the group can leave as soon as it is safe to do so.
