Disaster assistance has been extended to the Gladstone and Ipswich Local Government Areas to help cover the costs of fighting bushfires burning in their local areas.
Minister for Natural Disaster and Emergency Management David Littleproud said the package would also help with the clean-up.
"Fighting fires is not cheap and this will make sure crews in Gladstone and Ipswich have the resources they need," Minister Littleproud said.
"It will also help these communities recover faster once the fires are out.
"We will keep standing shoulder-to-shoulder with these communities and provide further assistance as it is needed."
Queensland Minister for Fire and Emergency Services Craig Crawford said the funding was also available to reimburse extraordinary costs associated with protecting the community.
"These activities include local and state government operations to clean up debris such as burnt trees, and restore impacted communities," Minister Crawford said.
"As the disaster season continues, the Commonwealth and Queensland Governments will keep working together to ensure all impacted communities receive recovery support."
This assistance is being provided through the jointly funded Commonwealth-State Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA).
