Bushwalker dies after fall at Pheasants Nest

A man has died after falling while bushwalking in Sydney's south-west today.

Just before 2pm (Tuesday 9 February 2021), emergency services were called to Lyrebird Road, Pheasants Nest, following reports a man had been injured in a fall.

Police have been told the man – aged in his 60s – was bushwalking with a group in the Sugarloaf Gully when he fell about 10 metres.

Members of the group performed CPR on the man before the arrival of paramedics, however, he died at the scene.

Officers from Camden Police Area Command attended and will coordinate an operation to recover the man's body.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
