Baw Baw Shire residents are encouraged to keep recycling as usual with Council's service contract unaffected by recent industry developments.
Last Thursday, SKM Recycling – one of three main recycling processors in Victoria – announced they will temporarily stop accepting recycling material. As a result, some affected Council's will be forced to divert recyclables to landfill.
Baw Baw Shire Council continues to have a strong resource recovery stream, supplied by Solo Resource Recovery and Polytrade Recycling.
