Business boost for outdoor dining

To enhance opportunities for outdoor dining, Nillumbik Shire Council has launched a Mobile Trading Permit Pilot Program.

This supports the Victorian Government's roadmap to recovery as we aim to reach 'COVID-normal'.

Applications are now open for mobile food businesses such as food trucks and coffee carts to operate on Council land.

It's a chance for businesses to expand outdoor dining options in the Shire over the summer months.

Recently, we have been enjoying the outdoors more than ever before, whether it's taking a walk and grabbing a coffee, or enjoying a picnic or takeaway in the park with family and friends.

Applications for the Mobile Trading Permit Pilot Program are open to Nillumbik-based businesses only and close on Wednesday 2 December.

Permits are limited, and conditions apply. Applications will be assessed by Council with the fee for the permit $250. The program will operate until 31 March 2021.
