Winners of the Bluebell Sustainable Business Awards have been announced, recognising businesses and organisations that have made an outstanding contribution to sustainability and climate action across the ACT.
Minister for Climate Change, Environment, Energy and Water, Suzanne Orr said ACT businesses are at the forefront of climate action projects and are helping lead the way with the ACT's transition to net zero emissions by 2045.
"Sustainability is smart business, and embracing modern, sustainable practices drives innovation, reduces costs, and enhances brand reputation in a competitive market," Minister Orr said.
"It's essential to recognise local businesses for their on-going commitments to a cleaner, healthier Canberra and their contribution to meeting our ambitious emissions reduction targets.
"The winning businesses, organisations and staff have shown the leadership and innovation to be more sustainable in the areas of energy, transport, waste and water.
"If other ACT businesses would like to contribute to solving the climate challenge and be more environmentally friendly, the ACT Government offers rebates and expert advice through the Sustainable Business Program.
