Business owner charged over sexual touching - Glebe

A man will appear in court today charged following an investigation into an alleged sexual touching incident in Sydney's inner west this week.

About 3.30pm on Tuesday (28 March 2023), a 23-year-old woman attended a business on Glebe Point Road, Glebe, where she was approached and allegedly inappropriately touched by a man, working at the store.

Officers attached to Leichhardt Police Area Command were notified the following day (Wednesday 29 March 2023) and commenced an investigation.

Following inquiries, detectives attended the store yesterday (Thursday 30 March 2023) and arrested a 68-year-old man.

He was taken to Surry Hills Police Station and charged with sexually touch another person without consent.

The Glebe man was refused bail to appear at Downing Centre Local Court today (Friday 31 March 2023).
