Call for Information - Identity Sought - Tennant Creek

Tennant Creek Police are seeking public assistance to locate a male who is believed to have assaulted a woman on Sunday, 15 April.

Police allege the male entered the woman’s residence yesterday evening and indecently assaulted her while she was sleeping. The woman woke and confronted the male who left the premises immediately after, Northern Territory Police say.

The male is described as being tall in height, of lanky build, and part Aboriginal with a moustache but the remainder is clean shaven. On the night, the male was reported to be wearing a red coloured singlet with possibly a logo over the left breast pocket with white or black writing.

Police are also seeking any information from people who have had this or something of a similar nature happen to them in Tennant Creek over the past two weeks.

Detective Acting Sergeant Karl Gundersen at the Tennant Creek Investigation Unit says police are asking for anyone with any information on the identity and whereabouts of the male to please contact police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers.
