Police are seeking witnesses in relation to a police pursuit which occurred on Tuesday 25th September 2018 between 3:30 am and 3:45 am.
The pursuit commenced at Bayview and concluded several minutes later on Tiger Brennan Drive in Yarrawonga, Northern Territory Police say
The alleged offender was driving a small grey Honda Sedan with text in white spray paint on the side. Police allege the vehicle drove on the incorrect side of the road and narrowly missed an oncoming vehicle. Police are particularly interested in speaking to the driver of this vehicle who had to take evasive action to avoid a collision.
Police are also interested in speaking to the drivers of two other vehicles which drove past along Tiger Brennan Drive in the outbound lanes near Winnellie. Police believe these people may be able to assist them with their enquiries.
A number of suspected stolen property items were recovered from the vehicle involved in the pursuit. It is believed the alleged offenders were in Bayview moments before the pursuit and may have been in residential yards and/or vehicles prior to police arrival.
Police ask Bayview residents to conduct a check of their properties and vehicles to confirm if anything is missing.
