Call for witnesses - Unlawful entries - Darwin

Northern Territory Police are seeking witnesses after a number of unlawful entries in the Northern Suburbs were reported overnight.

Between the hours of two and four o’clock this morning, a residence in Moil and a residence in Karama was allegedly unlawfully entered. A vehicle was reported stolen from the Karama residence and was crashed shortly after in the area, Northern Territory Police say.

A second vehicle was allegedly stolen from a Jingili residence around 5am, with the Toyota Rav-4 winding up crashed and abandoned in Yarrawonga shortly after. Witnesses reported seeing the vehicle being driven in an erratic manner in Pinelands before the vehicle was located crashed soon after.

The driver fled the scene on foot. The male is described as skinny, medium height, wearing a white singlet and shorts.

The matter remains under investigation by Strike Force Trident.
