Call for Witnesses - Vehicle Crash - Knuckey Lagoon

Northern Territory Police are calling for witnesses in relation to a two-vehicle crash.

The crash occurred at the intersection of McMillans Road and Stuart Highway around 10:00am this morning, Northern Territory Police say.

Police believe a Ford Ranger was travelling outbound on the Stuart Highway when it collided with a Nissan X-Trail which was travelling inbound and turning right onto McMillans Road.

A 49-year-old female was conveyed to hospital for assessment.

A 45-year-old male was arrested at the scene.

Major Crash and Traffic members are investigating the crash.

Police say the occupants were very lucky not to have sustained more serious injuries and they credit this to the use of seatbelts and adequately fitted child restraints.

Again, police would like to reiterate Enough’s Enough. We encourage everyone to give their full attention to driving, don’t be distracted and be mindful of other road users.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has dash-cam footage is urged to contact police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers.
