Calling Local Artists For Dubbo Art Fair

Applications are now open for local artists to exhibit at the 2026 Dubbo Art Fair (DAF26) held in the Western Plains Cultural Centre from 8 – 10 October 2026.

The Dubbo Art Fair is now in its sixth year and is a popular event with visitation growing year on year. It is a great opportunity for local artists to sell their artworks to the community.

Dubbo Regional Council's manager Arts and Culture Jessica Moore said this year the event will feature 30 local artists and showcase the thriving creative sector of our community.

"The number of artists that will be showcased is reduced this year due to the Yayoi Kusama installation. However, it is a great opportunity for local artists to exhibit their works alongside such an internationally renowned artist," Ms Moore said.

Stall sites are free and allow artists to sell their artworks direct to the public over the weekend.

All applicants are placed into a draw and allocations of booths are selected at random to ensure equal opportunity for all applicants.

"The Dubbo Art Fair directly supports the growth of the creative sector in our region and contributes to the cultural economy. In 2025, artists collectively sold more than $63,000 worth of art at the Dubbo Art Fair," Ms Moore said.

The official opening for the Dubbo Art Fair will take place on Friday 8 October 2026 at 6pm. The event will open to the community from 10am – 4pm on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 October 2026, admission is free.

The Dubbo Art Fair is supported by Dubbo Regional Council and is an initiative of Council's SPARC Cultural Plan. Dubbo Art Fair is also supported through funding from Create NSW.

Applications will close on 8 May 2026. For more information, including the terms and conditions of entry visit www.westernplainsculturalcentre.org.
