Shellharbour City Council is encouraging the community to submit nominations for the 2024 Shellharbour Community Awards.
Award categories include:
• Australia Day Citizen of the Year
• Australia Day Young Citizen of the Year (under 25)
• Contribution to the Arts
• Environmental Warrior of the Year
• Young Environmental Warrior of the Year
• Sports Star of the Year
These awards are designed to encourage, acknowledge and reward the valuable contribution that individuals, communities and businesses make in Shellharbour City.
Shellharbour City Mayor Chris Homer said the awards were a meaningful way to recognise and honour those who contributed towards making the city a wonderful place to live.
"I am always so proud to hear about the wonderful stories, successes and contributions within our community," Mayor Homer said.
"Nominating someone for these awards is a wonderful way to recognise the efforts and talent of individuals and groups in our area," he said.
Nominations close Friday 1 December 2023.
