Calls help community stay connected

While the laws around social distancing are challenging for all of us, we know that this period of isolation has been especially difficult for some of our home-care clients. With this in mind, Casey's Connected Communities staff have been proactively phoning every one of our clients, a list of around 5,500 people, to check in on their health and wellbeing since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

These clients are often older or living with a disability and we were aware that some were having very limited contact with others. Our team are not only checking in on their welfare, but also giving these residents a chance to chat about their interests and how they are coping.

The feedback has been fantastic with residents telling us they really appreciated someone taking the time to have a conversation.
