Camera Theft Is No Smiling Matter

Echuca police are appealing for public assistance after a box of CCTV cameras were stolen from an Echuca hardware store in February.

Police have been told that a man entered the store on Ogilvie Avenue 4pm on 2 February.

It is believed that the unknown man browsed the electrical aisle, removed a box of CCTV cameras, smiled for security cameras, and exited the store without paying.

The CCTV cameras are valued at $397.

Investigators have released an image of a man who they believe can assist with their enquiries.

Anyone with any information about the theft is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
