Campsie Detectives Wait To Speak With Injured Man

Campsie detectives are waiting to speak with a man who sought treatment overnight for gunshot wounds.

Emergency services were called to Bankstown Hospital just after 10pm yesterday (Tuesday 9 December 2025), after a 30-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to his abdomen and hand, and a stab wound to his shoulder.

The man was assessed before being transferred to a different hospital for further treatment. At that time he was reported to be in a serious condition.

Following inquiries, officers attached to Campsie Police Area Command established a crime scene on Kentucky Road, Riverwood.

Detectives are now waiting to speak with the man once he is well enough, to determine how he came to be injured.

As investigations continue, police are appealing for anyone with information about the incident – or who was in the vicinity of Kentucky Road shortly before 10pm and may have witnessed suspicious activity or has relevant dashcam – to contact Campsie Police or Crime Stoppers.
