To ensure the reach our culture and proudly affirm our identity, we need to ensure that cultural organizations are able to make good use of space adapted to creativity, production and presentation of works that bring us together in our two official languages.
That's why Peter Schiefke, Member of Parliament (Vaudreuil), proudly announced an additional $630,000 in funding to support the Hudson Village Theatre, on October 3. He made the announcement on behalf of the Honourable Marc Miller, Minister of Canadian Identity and Culture and Minister responsible for Official Languages.
With this funding, through the Community Spaces Fund of the Development of Official-Language Communities Program, the theatre will be able to begin work to expand and create new spaces, including a multi-purpose room dedicated to community, artistic and cultural activities.
This financial assistance is in addition to the funding already provided through the Canada Cultural Spaces Fund, which totalled $1,683,046.
