Canada Backs MUTEK Festival

Digital art is at the heart of cultural innovation, pushing the boundaries of creation and building bridges between artists and audiences from around the world. We are proud to support the MUTEK Festival in Montréal, a signature event that contributes to the city's cultural vitality and local economy, while showcasing Canadian talent and skills, which are the strength of our cultural scene.

Today, the Government of Canada announced $277,000 in financial support for the 27th MUTEK Festival in Montréal.

Canadian Heritage invested $67,000 in the MUTEK Festival through the Canada Arts Presentation Fund, allowing MUTEK to support the most innovative and avant-garde artists in the field while attracting larger and more diverse audiences.

Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED) announced a $210,000 non-repayable financial contribution under the Quebec Economic Development Program for the festival's 2025 and 2026 marketing. This support will help increase international tourists and showcase Montréal internationally.
