Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED)

Supporting growth contributes to economic development in Quebec's regions. That is why the Honourable Steven MacKinnon, Member of Parliament for Gatineau, Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Labour and Leader of the Government in the House of Commons, today announced, on behalf of the Honourable Pascale St‍-‍Onge, Minister of Tourism and Minister responsible for CED, a repayable contribution of $175,000 for Tôlerie Outaouais. This CED support will enable the Gatineau SME to pursue growth by strengthening its competitiveness through the adoption of new digital technology.

A business specializing in sheet metal processing, Tôlerie Outaouais has developed expertise in manufacturing custom bent steel products. By acquiring an automated digital folding machine, with funding from CED, and fitting out its facilities, the business will be able to create two jobs and increase its production capacity and productivity, while also boosting its growth and improving its competitive position within its sector of activity.

The Government of Canada recognizes and supports businesses and organizations that are a source of pride in their communities. Quebec's economic growth relies on organizations with strong roots in the regional economy; they are key assets in building a sustainable, inclusive economy.
