Productive businesses are more competitive, more resilient and better placed to drive a strong economy. Today, Guillaume Deschênes-Thériault, Member of Parliament for Madawaska-Restigouche, on behalf of the Honourable Sean Fraser, Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada and Minister responsible for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency, announced repayable contributions totaling $162,000 for three businesses in northern New Brunswick:
- $25,000 for Érablière Patrick R. Thériault to purchase equipment to modify their osmosis system in order to improve productivity and reduce operating costs.
- $37,500 for Novum Boreas Microbrasserie to acquire an automated canning system to speed up the bottling of IPA and seasonal beers.
- $100,000 for Scierie S.A. Lévesque Lumber to purchase production equipment, namely a cutting line and a dust collector, and expand the plant.
