The Canadian Coast Guard will carry out Exercise Cataraqui Convergence, a full-scale on-water exercise in Kingston, Ontario, between October 6-8.
The exercise brings together multiple federal, provincial, municipal, Indigenous, and non-governmental organizations to improve interoperability and coordination during complex marine emergency response operations.
The exercise will take place on the waters in and around the Kingston area and along nearby shorelines. Members of the public can expect to see vessels, aircraft, drones, and emergency response personnel throughout the area. There is no real emergency and no danger to the public.
