Cannabis grow house found at Marleston, SA

A grow house was discovered at Marleston in a fortuitous find by patrols overnight, according to SA Police.

Police and emergency services were called to a disturbance in Barnes Avenue, Marleston just after 10pm on Thursday 20 July. A man allegedly drove over a gas meter at the front of a vacant property, causing a gas leak.

The driver A 33-year-old Glandore man was arrested and charged with property damage, drive while disqualified and other offences. He will face court today.

While at the scene, police became suspicious about the seemingly vacant house and discovered it was being used as a cannabis grow house.

Police entered the house with a drug warrant and located two large rooms containing 15 mature cannabis plants. The scene was guarded overnight and will be dismantled this morning.

Investigations are continuing.
