Cannabis package intercepted

A New South Wales man was arrested for drug trafficking after police intercepted a postal package of dried cannabis.

On Thursday 2 April, Western District detectives intercepted a postal package destined for New South Wales. The package contained 15.5 kilograms of dried cannabis.

Following further investigation, yesterday, Saturday 11 April, a 52-year-old New South Wales man was arrested and charged with trafficking a large commercial quantity of a controlled drug. He was refused police bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Tuesday 14 April.
