This morning detectives from the Major and Organised Crime Squad located an elaborate hydroponic cannabis production room at a Merrimac residence, Queensland Police say.
Following information received from the public, police executed a search warrant at the Merrimac residence and located the room beneath the house.
During the search, police seized 28 cannabis plants and a large quantity of hydroponic equipment. Detectives also identified the offenders were allegedly stealing electricity to maintain the plants.
Police are conducting enquiries with a number of people in relation to this matter.
