Cannabis Seized - Darwin Airport

Northern Territory Police have praised the work of Drug Detector Dog "Cougar" after 18 kilograms of cannabis was discovered at Darwin Airport.

The Dog Operations Unit and the Drugs and Organised Crime Division carried out a random baggage check after an incoming flight landed yesterday, Northern Territory Police say

A 30-year-old man was arrested at the airport.

He’s been charged with supplying a commercial quantity of a Schedule 2 dangerous drug and remanded in custody to face the Darwin Local Court today.
