Capital Work Grant EOI Open for 2025/26

Baw Baw Shire Council is calling for Expressions of Interest for Minor Capital Work grant applications from not-for-profit community groups or organisations interested in funding to undertake minor capital work projects.

Baw Baw Shire's Community Grants Program provides funding to deliver much-needed projects, programs, events, minor capital works and equipment purchases.

Baw Baw Shire Council Mayor Cr Danny Goss said the successful program provided over $300,000 in funding to the community over the past year.

"This is an important program Council provides to our community, and we encourage community groups to submit an Expression of Interest," Cr Goss said.

The program helps to deliver projects that align with Baw Baw Shire Council's Plan and Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan, and by supporting and partnering with the community to deliver community priorities that improve participation, inclusion and accessibility.

Minor Capital Work funding of up to $10,000 is available to eligible not-for-profit community groups or organisations with an applicant cash contribution of 25% of the total grant amount. Projects could include netting behind goal posts, goal post installation, fencing, lighting upgrades, playing surface upgrades, kitchen upgrades, electronic scoreboards, painting a hall, and public seating.

Expressions of Interest for Minor Capital Work Grants open at 9am on Monday 5 May and close at midday Friday 30 May. If you are part of a community group that could benefit from a grant, now is the time to book an appointment to discuss your project.

These grants are subject to a two-stage application process. Applicants with successful Expression of Interest Minor Capital Work applications will be invited to submit a Minor Capital Work application in July.
