Car collides with house at Fairview Park, South Australia

A driver has fled the scene after an out of control car collided with a fence and house at Fairview Park overnight.

Just before 11.30pm on Monday 13 January, residents near the Yatala Vale Road and Baudin Avenue intersection, reported hearing a loud screeching of car tyres, just before a Ford sedan careered onto a fence, through the front yard of a house and smashing into a garage.

The driver has then attempted to reverse from the garage, but only managed to collide with another fence.

The male driver and only occupant, has then abandoned the car and run from the scene.

Fortunately there were no injuries to any residents, but considerable structural damage was caused to the garage attached to the Baudin Avenue home, with SES called in to shore up the property.

Northern District Police patrols attended searching the area for the suspect driver, but he wasn't located.

Police have spoken to the registered owner of the Ford, but investigations are continuing to locate the person driving the vehicle at the time of the crash.

The 1996 Ford sedan was towed from the scene.

Anyone with information on the incident or the identity of the driver is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
