Car Crashes Into Shop At Rosewater

A man has been arrested following a crash at Rosewater this morning.

At 2.20am Monday 28 December emergency services were called to Grand Junction Road after reports a Volkswagen SUV has crashed into a tobacco shop and the driver ran from the scene.

Patrols were quickly on scene and located the driver nearby on Leader Street where he was arrested.

The 42-year-old man from Aldinga Beach has been charged with drive under the influence, due care, breach of bail and leave the scene of a crash.

He has been refused bail and will appear before the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court today.

Crime scene investigators have attended at the scene, and the crash is not linked to Operation Eclipse.
