Police are investigating following a crash at Salamander Bay this morning, NSW Police say.
About 8.15am (Wednesday 9 May 2018), emergency services responded to reports a Toyota Corolla had crashed into a chemist shop at Town Centre Circuit.
On arrival, officers found a 35-year-old male shop worker with possible injuries to his hips and legs.
He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being airlifted by helicopter to John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition.
The driver of the Toyota, a 71-year-old woman was not injured. She was breath tested at the scene with a negative result.
The woman’s vehicle was seized for mechanical examination.
Inquiries into the incident are continuing.
