Car Into Tree At Cavan

Two teenagers were involved in a single vehicle crash at Cavan overnight.

Just before 1am on Sunday 28 September, a car left the road and collided with a tree on Port Wakefield Road, Cavan.

The driver, a 17-year-old boy, was not injured.

His passenger, a 16-year-old girl, sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital by ambulance. Fortunately, her condition is not believed to be life-threatening at this time.

The Toyota sedan was towed from the scene.

Investigations are continuing into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
