Car pursuits and break-in at Murray Bridge, SA

Police are searching for a stolen Ford Fiesta sedan, registration S983BEH which was stolen from a Murray Bridge house overnight and later pursued by police, according to SA Police.

Just before 3.30am on Sunday 10 June, police attempted to stop a red Hyundai sedan for traffic offences however the driver refused to stop and the car was pursued on Rocky Gully Road.

The pursuit was terminated a short time later for safety reasons. Enquiries were made with the registered owner and the vehicle had been stolen from a Murray Bridge home earlier in the morning. Police located the stolen vehicle on Cypress Terrace.

About 4.30am, a resident in Cypress Terrace reported a break-in where the suspect had entered through a rear door and stole the victim’s handbag containing keys to a blue Ford Fiesta sedan.

Police saw the sedan driving erratically in the streets of Murray Bridge and a pursuit took place however was terminated a short time later.

Around the time of the offences the suspect was seen at a service station at Adelaide Road, Murray Bridge. Police examined CCTV footage and obtained a description of the driver.

He is described as being of Aboriginal appearance, solid build, aged in his late 20s and he has a goatee beard. He was wearing grey coloured Everlast track suit pants, a grey hooded jumper with black coloured arms, black and white sports shoes and one black glove on his right hand.
