Car stolen during Valley View robbery, South Australia

Police are investigating what is believed to be a targeted robbery at Valley View last night, where a man was threatened and his car stolen by three men.

Just on 10.30pm on Thursday 30 January, a man was sitting in his Mitsubishi Triton ute on Pauls Drive, when a silver vehicle stopped near him, two men wearing balaclavas got out of the car, one was armed with a hammer, the other man had a handgun.

Both men threatened the victim, forcing him from his ute and then drove off in it, followed by a third man in the silver vehicle.

The victim in his 20's who was not physically injured during the ordeal.

Eastern District patrols attended the area including a police dog patrol and PolAir (police helicopter) was also called in to search the area, locating the stolen ute abandoned about 40 minutes later in Bentley Drive at Holden Hill, about 3kms from where the robbery occurred.

A Crime Scene Examiners was called in to forensically examine the vehicle.

Police investigations into the incident, had led believe police to believe the robbery is a targeted attack and not a random incident.
