Car travels over embankment in Mosman

A man is being treated for minor injuries after his car travelled over an embankment on the North Shore, NSW Police say.

About 7.45am today (Tuesday 20 February 2018) a Toyota Landcruiser was travelling south on Parriwi Road, Mosman, when the car left the road, travelled through a timber guard rail and dropped 30m down an embankment.

Police and emergency services attended.

The driver, a man aged about 60, extricated himself from the vehicle and was treated by Ambulance Paramedics on scene for minor injuries before being taken to Royal North Shore Hospital for further treatment.

Authorities remain on scene currently working to recover the motor vehicle.

Police are investigating the possibility the driver suffered a medical condition.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
