Multiple Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) crews are currently on scene working to contain a grass fire burning near Alison Road and Palm Meadows Drive, Carrara. This grassfire broke out yesterday afternoon and is posing no threat to property at this time. Nearby residents may be affected by a thick smoke haze which is expected impact the area for the next couple of days. Motorists should drive with caution and to conditions. Residents are asked to close windows and doors and if suffering from a respiratory condition, keep medications close by. If residents are concerned their property is under threat, they are advised to call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
