Casey detectives arrest man for series of offences

Police have arrested a man following a string of offences committed in Melbourne’s south east over a two week period, Victoria Police say.

Casey Crime Investigation Unit detectives arrested a man in the car park of a shopping centre on Princes Highway, Narre Warren yesterday about 1pm.

The 24-year-old was charged with 16 charges including armed robbery and aggravated burglary, theft and weapon offences.

The offences were allegedly committed between 20 July and 2 August.

Detectives later executed two search warrants in Dandenong North and another in Dandenong where they seized several items of property.

The Dandenong North man was remanded in custody and is due to appear in Melbourne Magistrates’ Court later day.
