The City of Casey has been made aware of people falsely claiming to be from Council and offering replacement light globes.
There have been multiple reports of residents being approached by door to door salesmen and women offering to replace their light globes. Council is aware of incidents in Endeavour Hills, Cranbourne and Cranbourne East.
The City of Casey reminds residents that this is not a service offered by Council and to remain vigilant.
If you receive an offer of this nature from a person claiming to be a Council officer, you must notify the City of Casey immediately and decline this request.
If you are aware of anyone who could be more vulnerable or at a higher risk of falling victim to a scam, Council urges you to have a conversation about how to avoid this happening.
