Police have located and seized large quantities of cash and methylamphetamine, weapons and drug paraphernalia while executing search warrants in Gaven, Cannon Hill, and Upper Coomera on December 8 and 9.
Officers from the Organised Crime Gangs Group, Ferny Grove CIB, Brisbane City TCS, Gold Coast RAP and Brisbane Dog Squad executed multiple search warrants which resulted in three people being arrested on 20 charges.
Police located and seized over 1kg of methylamphetamine, 6L of Gamma-Butyrolactone, 28g of cocaine, steroids, large amounts of cash, two firearms, encrypted phones, cannabis, prescription medications, glass pipes, a cryovac machine and packaging and electronic scales.
A 39-year-old Upper Coomera man was charged with two counts of possess dangerous drugs (testosterone, trenbolone) and one count each of possessing dangerous drugs over S4 quantity (methylamphetamine), possessing anything used in the commission of a crime (mobile phone), contravening order about information necessary to access information stored electronically and possess used utensils.
He is expected to appear in Southport Magistrates Court December 10.
A 51-year-old Cannon Hill man was charged with one count each of possessing dangerous drugs exceeding S4 quantity (methylamphetamine), possessing anything used in the commission of a crime (scales, clipseal bags and measuring instruments), possessing property suspected of being the proceeds of a drug offence, possess used utensils, possess dangerous drugs exceeding S3 (cocaine) and possess dangerous drugs (methylenedioxymethamphetamine).
He was remanded in custody and expected to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on December 10.
A 47-year-old woman was charged with one count each of possess dangerous drugs exceeding S3 (methylamphetamine), possessing dangerous drugs (diazepam), offence to buy S4/S8 medicines and possess used utensils.
She was expected to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on December 10.
Detective Acting Superintendent Craig Bowman of the Organised Crime Gangs Groups said this seizure is a great example of the commitment and collaboration across the Queensland Police Service to targeting criminal activity and disrupting the supply of drugs.
"This collaborative effort enhanced the results of the operation, disrupting the offenders, preventing them from committing further crimes and in turn preventing a large quantity of illicit drugs from causing harm to our communities," Detective Superintendent Bowman said.
