CBA hosts sustainability conference to help advance Australia's transition

Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) is today hosting its second sustainability conference, Momentum: Advancing Australia's Transition, at the Sydney International Convention Centre, to bring together the best of Australian leadership to share ideas and solutions to catalyse the nation's transition to a more sustainable and brighter future.

Headline speakers include CBA CEO Matt Comyn, Qantas CEO Alan Joyce, Telstra CEO Vicki Brady, Woolworths Chief Sustainability Officer Alex Holt, as well as keynotes from Professor Brian Cox and wildlife filmmaker Chadden Hunter, along with a number of other distinguished speakers.

Conference panels will also tackle topics including how impact investing can propel the economy to reach net zero, the challenges on the road to electrifying transportation, the critical role of mining in enabling the transition, and the opportunities across the carbon market value chain.

With more than 700 in-person registrations, Momentum: Advancing Australia's Transition, is CBA's largest-ever client event and is part of how CBA is delivering on its ambition to lead the transition conversation.

Today's event builds on CBA's inaugural sustainability conference, Financing Australia's Transition, held virtually during in October 2021.
