CBA supports council for regional Australia

Commonwealth Bank is proud to be a founding member of the Regional Australia Council, collaborating with other participants to help address the challenges and seize the opportunities that exist in regional Australia.

Established by the Regional Australia Institute (RAI) the initiative aims to use the collective knowledge and influence of different corporate leaders to help advance regional Australia - with a focus on jobs, population, liveability and leadership.

Executive General Manager of Regional and Agribusiness Banking Grant Cairns said: "The creation of the Regional Australia Council presents an exciting opportunity to support the growth and development of our regions in a collective way.

"We have a long standing history of supporting regional communities and agribusinesses across the country. Our Regional and Agribusiness Banking team has more than 600 team members across the country who are deeply connected with their communities - and this is supported by our branch network - we have the largest banking presence in regional Australia."
