Shop fronts within the Campbelltown CBD received a facelift during the lockdown period following a Council grant program aimed at supporting small businesses.
Twenty businesses, including cafes, retailers and service providers, were awarded grants of up to $2000 to help them renovate their shop fronts.
Businesses also received support from Council and the Macarthur Business Development Centre to help them best use the funding on their improvements.
"While the lockdown was an especially difficult time for our small businesses, these grants were able to support many businesses to carry out upgrades to their shop fronts while customers weren't able to visit," Mayor George Brticevic said.
"The grants gave business owners an opportunity to better attract customers as well as adding to the vibrancy of our city centre, building on the success of the recent On Q project," Cr Brticevic said.
"With restrictions now easing, I encourage everyone in Campbelltown to think local when you're planning your next shop and get down to the Campbelltown CBD to see the improvements made," Cr Brticevic said.
