CCTV Appeal After Home Invasion In Tumut

Police are appealing for information following two home invasions in the state's south, last month.

About 2am on Friday 30 May 2025, police were called to Quandong Ave, Tumut following reports of a home invasion.

Officers attached to Riverina Police District responded and were told three men armed with a gun and knife allegedly forced their way into the home.

One man threatened the 39-year-old woman with a gun, before striking her to the head, leg and arms.

Officers established a crime scene and commenced an investigation,

The woman suffered bruising but wasn't transported to hospital.

Shortly after 9.30pm on the same day, police were contacted after a man presented to Tumut Hospital with a laceration to the back of his head and a wound to his calf.

Officers were told three men armed with a firearm and knives forced their way into a home in Herbert Street, Tumut, before threatening a 40-year-old man and striking him in the head with the firearm, before stabbing him in the leg.

The trio fled the scene, with keys and a mobile phone.

Police believe both incidents are linked.

Police have released CCTV of three men who they believe could assist with their inquiries.

One man is around 180-185cm tall with a stocky build. He was wearing a dirt bike helmet, with a distinctive design on the front. He was also wearing a backpack.

The second man is around 180-185cm tall with a slim building and was wearing a balaclava, light coloured 'TNT' brand joggers, dark coloured hoody and gloves.

The third male is around 180-185cm tall, wearing a puffy yellow hi vis jacket and face mask.

Police would also like to speak to a woman seen driving a Volkswagen Golf in the vicinity of Quandong Avenue, Tumut around the time of the incident, who they believe can assist with their inquiries.
