Police investigating two suspicious arson attacks in Casula in 2014 have released CCTV footage of a man who may be able to assist with inquiries.

About 4.25am on Wednesday 30 April 2014, emergency services were called to a fruit shop on the Hume Highway following reports of the business on fire.

Fire & Rescue NSW officers attended and extinguished the blaze; minor damage was caused to the premises.

Just before 5am on Saturday 14 June 2014, emergency services were called to the same shop following reports of a fire.

The fire was extinguished by Fire & Rescue NSW officers; however the business was completely destroyed, and a nearby light shop was also partially damaged.

A white van, believed to have been stolen, was seen driving from the area shortly after the second incident.

Officers from Liverpool Local Area Command are investigating both fires, which are being treated as suspicious and are believed to be linked.

Detectives have released CCTV footage of a man who they believe can assist with their investigations.

The man is depicted in the footage as wearing a white hooded jumper, blue jeans, a black bum-bag and white running shoes.

The van believed to be linked to the incident is also depicted in the footage.
