CCTV images released as police investigate suspicious car fire - Central Coast

Police have released CCTV images as they continue to investigate a suspicious car fire on the Central Coast last month.

About 10pm on Sunday 6 June 2021, emergency services were called to Lawrence Avenue, Lake Haven, after reports a Holden Commodore was well alight.

Crews from Fire & Rescue NSW extinguished the blaze with assistance from nearby neighbours.

Police have been told two people were seen running from the scene headed south along Lawrence Avenue.

Tuggerah Lakes Police District detectives commenced an investigation into the incident and deemed the fire suspicious.

Subsequent inquiries revealed the vehicle had been purchased by the occupant of the home earlier that same day (Sunday 6 June 2021).

As investigations continue, police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.

He's described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his mid-20s to mid-30s, of solid build and approximately 180cm tall.
