CCTV of Modbury break-in suspects

Police continue to investigate after a Modbury home was broken in twice in the space of a week.

The first break-in occurred just before midnight on Tuesday 22 November. The elderly female occupant was struck in the face by the door as the men forced their way inside her Burton Road home. They stole jewellery, laptop, cash and a wallet. The suspects then stole the victim's Renault Koleos crashing into the letterbox before driving away.

Just before 3.30am on Thursday 24 November, CCTV captured a male suspect knocking on the door of the house, before leaving.

About 4.15am, a second suspect attempts to jemmy the front door open. The first suspect returns and tries to ram the door with his shoulder.

The second male suspect enters the house briefly but leaves empty-handed.

The house was vacant after the break-in earlier in the week. Alarms activated and police searched the area with the assistance of Police Dog Judge but did not locate the suspects.

Police are appealing for anyone with information about the break-in or who recognises either suspect to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online at www.crimestopperssa.com.au – you can remain anonymous.
