CCTV released as investigations continue into stabbing - Bonnyrigg Heights

Detectives are appealing for public assistance as investigations continue into the stabbing of a man during a home invasion in Sydney's south-west earlier this year.

About 1.15am on Wednesday 24 February 2021, officers attached to Fairfield City Police Area Command were called to Simpson Road, Bonnyrigg Heights, following reports of a home invasion.

Police were told two armed men entered the house and stabbed a 17-year-old boy before fleeing the scene.

The injured teenager was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for a stab wound to the arm, before being taken to Liverpool Hospital in a serious condition. He underwent surgery and has since been released.

Officers from Fairfield City Police Area Command established Strike Force Spruson to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.

As investigations continue, police have released CCTV of two males who may be able to assist with ongoing inquiries.

The first male depicted in the CCTV is described as being between 170cm – 175cm tall and of slim build. He is depicted wearing a grey Puma hooded-jumper, grey track pants, white socks, brown shoes, a face covering and gloves. He was carrying a machete.

The second man depicted in the CCTV is described as being about 170cm tall. He was wearing a blue and white hooded puffer jacket, light coloured pants, dark coloured shoes, a face covering and gloves. He was carrying a hammer.
