CCTV released as Malcolm Bohmeyer search continues

Police have release CCTV as part of their ongoing search for Malcolm Bohmeyer after he went missing after failing to return from a bike ride last week.

Extensive searches by police, including police on off-road motorbikes, the Air Wing, Mounted Branch, as well as the State Emergency Services have so far failed to locate the Langwarrin man who went missing on August 12

Investigators have now released CCTV of Malcolm and his bicycle in the hope that someone may have seen him and provide information on his movements on the day he went missing.

The CCTV was captured on 10 August; however, police have been told Malcom was wearing the same or similar clothing.

It is also believed the distinctive basket on the bike, and blue drink bottle may be recognisable to someone who saw Malcolm.

Malcolm left his home on Cranbourne Road to go riding about 1.30pm on 12 August.

He usually rides his black and blue mountain bike near the Cranbourne Road - Peninsula Link bike path but has not been seen since.

Police and family hold serious concerns for his welfare due to a medical condition and he has now missed his regular medication.

The 71-year-old is described as Caucasian in appearance, 160cm tall with a medium build and short grey hair.

He was wearing a blue helmet, a black long sleeve t-shirt and grey track pants.

Anyone who sees Malcolm is urged to contact Carrum Downs Police Station on 8770 4100.
