CCTV released as part of appeal over fast-food robbery

Detectives have released CCTV vision as investigations continue into a robbery at a West Ryde fast food restaurant last week.

Police were called to the restaurant at the intersection of Marsden and Victoria roads about 1.20am on Thursday (9 July 2020), after staff were threatened by a man armed with a knife.

One employee, a 19-year-old man, was grabbed around the neck by the man who demanded cash.

The man stole cash and he was last seen running north on Marsden Road.

The staff member was shaken but uninjured and alerted police.

Officers from Ryde Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

As inquiries continue, investigators have now released CCTV of a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

The man depicted is described as being aged between 25 and 30, between 160 and 170cm tall, of average build and olive skin.

He is seen wearing a grey hoodie over his head.
